Orthosiphon thymiflorus


     


Malayalam name: Chilantippatam

Family: Lamiaceae.


Shrubby perennial herb, grows up to 1.5 m tall.
Not or hardly aromatic.
Stems several ascending to erect, 4-angled, normally well branched with dense spreading hairs.
Leaves opposite, 5 x 3 cm, ovate, base rounded or cordate, acute at apex, margin scalloped or toothed.

Racemes 15-20 cm long, terminal, with distant whorls of flowers.
